I've tried both. Baywood feels more geared towards stock plugins, which is a huge plus if you don't wanna buy more stuff. VocalSurge sometimes requires more third-party plugins in my experience.

Nah, most of their stuff is stock only. That's why I got them. They do have some specific packs that use Waves if you have those already, but the main ones are good to go with just what Logic comes with.

Pretty sure they have a refund policy if it doesn't work or isn't compatible. I haven't done it myself but I've seen it mentioned. Check their FAQ for the details.

Yeah, I think if they don't perform as advertised or you have technical issues, they'll usually sort you out. It's digital goods so it's not like you can just 'return' it because you don't like the sound, but if it's broken, they cover it.

They're surprisingly solid, especially for quick ideas. I use their rap vocal presets in FL 21 and it gives me a really good starting point. Saves a ton of time tweaking EQs and comps from scratch.
